The Celtic Manor Resort - Mini Review

It was bank holiday in the UK this past weekend and with an early finish on the Friday afternoon, followed by a long weekend off I wasn't accepting the fact I had no plans. I was in desperate need of ultimate relaxation and so was Luke, so I checked a few hotel and spas around the country and everything was fully booked. I was losing hope when I decided to take a long shot and check if The Celtic Manor resort had any availability and much to my surprise, there was still a few rooms spare. I booked it there and then, packed a case and headed out the door!

Sometimes I forget that I live within an hours drive of this world renowned resort and I'm not going to forget that anytime soon after this weekend, I had the most perfect staycation and I can't wait to return again soon for more pampering spa time, indulgent food and general relaxation.

THE ROOM

Our room was equipped with every possible need (and far more). Soft carpets to crinkle our toes into, unlimited wifi, a large flat screen TV and not to forget a cosy living area and queen size bed topped with a crisp white duvet and set of fluffy pillows. Of course, being one big cliche, I can't forget the completely marble bathroom - Did someone say the ultimate Instagram hub?

..A marble bathroom that may I add was complete with Elemis products and a pair of crisp white robes to fully relax in. Perfect for a soak in the tub before breakfast.

The resort can be whatever you make of it. If putting on your Louboutin's and sipping on a martini in complete luxury is your thing then theres plenty of that for you. If you're looking for a family break or to dust off your tennis racket and/or golf clubs then theres plenty of that also. Or, if like me you don't fancy socialising much then theres a short trip to the pool and spa, thats open until 10pm and an extensive list of delicious room service just waiting to be ordered.

After a late night swim, we headed back to the room to binge watch Stranger Things on Netflix and eat dinner in bed - does it get any better? Yep and it's in the form of an early morning soak in the marble tub before heading down to an extensive selection of breakfast goodness the following morning. Whatever your dietary preference, there is something for everyone. Spoilt for choice with cereals, pastries, fresh bread and cured meats. I opted for a fresh glass of orange juice with fruit and pain au chocolate before also trying some traditional welsh sausages with scrambled eggs and toast.. A huge breakfast to get us set for a busy day ahead of bank holiday fun. The resort was the perfect bank holiday retreat and I'm already contemplating a trip back as soon as possible.

  2. I've never stayed in the Celtic Manor, but did go there once for a Christmas thing with the kids school. It was so posh! I'd love to stay there! x

  3. these are not more often than not the main decisions open to the financial plan cognizant lady of the hour and prepare, however any individual who has ever investigated the different resorts realizes that there is a major distinction in cost and in addition quality, and the travel handouts can be very deceptive! belize all inclusive
