Berry Galore at Hendrewennol Fruit Farm

The older I get the more I appreciate the fresh country air and a bit of mud on my ankles. Flash back a few years ago and I was a city girl through and through but I'm really enjoying living between both and experiencing a mixture of country and city living.

I've been to Hendrewennol Farm a handful of times to pick the perfect Pumpkin and to enjoy the halloween festivities but this was my first time visiting during the Summer and it did not disappoint. I went along with a few friends who also brought their children and it's the perfect destination for a family activity that people of all ages can enjoy.

Sadly our timing was a little off and most of the strawberries had already been picked but they are due to be back in full bloom in a couple of weeks so if you are planning a visit - don't let this put you off!

There was so many delicious currents, blueberries and raspberries to choose from that we found ourselves wandering around and filling our punnets to the brim. Of course, trying the occasional berry to make sure we were picking the juiciest and sweetest of the bunch!

The fruit gardens offer so much more than just fruit too.. theres a coffee shop serving light bites to eat, ice-cream and of course.. coffee. There's also a section to buy homemade jams and free range eggs.

Picnic benches are scattered around the entrance also meaning that a few sandwiches and pasties are the perfect post fruit picking snack to nibble on whilst the kids run around the play area.

Hendrewennol offer something for all ages and I can't wait to head back at my favourite time of year (Autumn) for all the halloween festivities it offers.
