Winter in Edinburgh

This post is a little late as I actually visited Edinburgh before Christmas and I hadn't planned on blogging about the trip, hence why I've only got a few iPhone snaps!

I was actually staying in Glasgow for a week as a +1 to Luke's work trip. He had a few days off between work so we ventured to Edinburgh mainly for the Christmas markets but the whole city was BEAUTIFUL I just had to share it!

It was everything you except from a Scottish city.. Traditional architecture, boutiques selling shortbread, tartan and wool cardigans. It also rained pretty heavy which didn't dampen spirits at all.

The city is very small so you can see everything by walking around however as it did rain quite a bit we made use of Uber quite a few times!

There really isn't a right or wrong way to see Edinburgh.. Just pop on a pair of comfy shoes and EXPLORE. There's plenty of good places to stop for coffee or a light lunch.

Of course you have to visit Edinburgh Castle.. Even if it's just to see the view of the city from the top or for a stroll down the Royal Mile.
